Adoption Discovery is NOT an agency. We do not place or match children for adoption. - What is Adoption Discovery?
Adoption Discovery is a 7 week small group. This small group walks potential adoptive parents through the adoption process helping them to better understand the process and helping them to be educated consumers. - How much does the Adoption Discovery small group cost?
The small group and support services are free to anyone interested in adoption. There is a participant workbook available for $12. The workbook is a great addition to the Adoption Discovery experience. - What is the relationship between Adoption Discovery and Faith,

Faith, Hope, Adoption is the 501 (c) (3) that developed the Adoption Discovery small group programs. - How do I join an Adoption Discovery group?
Go to the 'Find A Group' tab at www.adoptiondiscovery.org
Enter your home or work zip code into the *Your zip code: selection box
Select the *Within: mileage selection box.
Click on Find a Group.
If you do not find a group in your area you can either expand your search or provide us with your information and we will contact you once we have a group in your area.
Once you have searched and found a group in your area using the 'Find A Group' function. Simply select the group you wish to attend by clicking the hyperlinked name of the group. View the group schedule information and any additional notes, click on the 'Join This Group' button at the bottom of the information. - Why would I need to view the schedule of a group?
It would be a good idea to view the schedule of a group you want to join against your personal calendar. The Adoption Discovery program helps you through the adoption process and it is in your best interest to attend each week of the program. - Who should attend the Adoption Discovery group?
Anyone interested in adoption at any stage of the process. It would be our suggestion that two people per family attend. For example, husbands and wives should attend together. If you are single you should determine a support person that can attend with you. - What do I do if I cannot find a group in my zip code?
1. You have the option of expanding your search.
2. Sign up for our waiting list and we will contact you once we have established a group in your area
3. Consider using your work zip code. You may find a group nearby. - Why do I need a Participant account?
The Adoption Discovery small group utilizes DVD lessons, participant workbooks and our website to help provide you with the most up-to-date adoption information. With a combination of a user id, password and a group code (provided once you attend the group) you will have access to these valuable web resources. - What kind of time commitment does becoming an Adoption Discovery
Leader involve?
Leader training is a total of 7 hours (this is split between online and in person training) and can be done at your own pace but must be completed within 30 days of leader registration. Adoption Discovery Groups meet once a week for seven weeks. Group meetings last around an hour and a half. Support commitment ( after group ends the 7 week meetings) 2 hours a month for follow up with participants. - How do I sign up to become an Adoption Discovery Leader?
Go to 'Start A Group' on www.adoptiondiscovery.org, then, choose the type that fits your current leading category. - How do I determine my type of group?
Individual - If you are interested in leading an Adoption Discovery group as an individual not connected with any organization or community group.
Church - If you are a staff member of a church or church volunteer interested in starting an Adoption Discovery group.
Workplace - If you are interested in starting an Adoption Discovery group within your workplace.
Community - If you are interested in starting an Adoption Discovery group within a specific community group.
